Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught school while her mother was a housewife. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and often performed show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. At the age 6, McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire if the actress would be interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick got her first big task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she appeared in an additional firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was quickly cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from 1,200 youngsters to be one of the oldest twins in the TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons and the show was a success. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the TV show, she nearly lost her their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. In 2008, she revealed in her book Here's the Truth: surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams. The woman said it might be possible, however it was never the best timing.
