Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox went to Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. She left the band before her band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. She was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. That was also where she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she will form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva and it was released in 1992. The album received a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album was Released in October of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favorite blues, jazz, and soul songs of her youth. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. The album is a companion of her "Now I let it go... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
